Greetings—

2014 is a year of gratitude, change, and great expectations for the Fresno Regional Foundation!

We welcome three new members to our board, Susan Abundis, Joe Del Bosque, and David Johnson. We extend our appreciation to James Hallowell and Jeanette Ishii whose board service ended December 2013. As most of you are aware, Dan DeSantis has announced his plans to retire from the CEO position in 2014. Because of his leadership and the quality of our staff, the Fresno Regional Foundation is well poised for the next stage of growth.

The board is reflecting on the critical role the Fresno Regional Foundation plays in our communities and is developing an agenda which will be provided to the new CEO. That agenda will reflect the growth opportunity the board believes possible for the Fresno Regional Foundation in the upcoming years.

The board has appointed a search committee which I chair. The committee includes several board members as well as three members from the community. The search committee is in the process of final interviews with selected search firms and anticipates engaging a firm in early February.

We will update you with our progress on the search periodically as additional information is available.
