Fresno Regional Foundation’s Community Leadership role includes efforts to bring outside resources into the Central Valley. Our Fund for the Common Good awarded $10,000 to help improve the accuracy of census counts in the Central Valley. The U.S. Census is the single most powerful indicator to ensure equal access to governmental funding for services ranging from early childhood education to voter protection. The results of the 2010 Census will lock in funding formulas for the next 10 years.
