Investing in students

In creating a scholarship, you invest in our community’s future and show students you care. Fresno Regional Foundation provides the expertise to help you meet your personal goals and awards scholarships to deserving students. Your gift can help students—from preschool to postgraduate—achieve their lifetime dreams.

You can create a scholarship as a memorial to someone special, selecting eligibility criteria that exemplify that person’s goals and values. You may also use it to express your educational values—or those of your family or business.

Depending on your preferences, the scholarship you establish can support any area of academic need, including tuition, room and board, and books. Our staff tracks performance to ensure students continue to meet the terms for scholarship support. If the scholarship you establish is renewable, you can review updated information on the progress of recipients over the years. You may even elect to meet these students—something many donors find rewarding.

Support education

New scholarship funds require a gift of $50,000 or more and must be endowed. You can also choose to contribute to an existing fund, or to consider a field of interest fund with an interest area in education.

Would you prefer to experience the joys of giving during your lifetime—or leave a legacy with a deferred gift? We can help recommend a giving strategy that's right for you.

Case Study: Millie Rollin Scholarship Fund

In 2004, Jessica Maddox received a four-year scholarship award from the Millie Rollin Scholarship Fund. This fund was created by Carol and Paul Rollin in memory of their 16-year-old daughter Millie who died in a tragic automobile accident in 1991.
