Letter from the CEO

The work that went into publishing Reflections, was a richly rewarding experience for all of us involved with the project. Connecting with so many past employees and board members was both delightful and informative. Tracking the evolution of the Fresno Regional Foundation from its creation, growth, maturity, its challenges and its “Rebirth” was inspiring. And now, recognizing that we have achieved a plateau beyond any original hopes or expectations, we also face the tremendous responsibilities that accompany our position.

We are thankful to everyone who, over the past 40 years, contributed their time, energy and resources to help the Fresno Regional Foundation achieve so many successes both internally and throughout the entire community.

Having just completed a Long Range Strategic Plan, we begin our fifth decade with confidence and enthusiasm. This plan will help guide us along multiple paths, all of which will be aimed at the transformation of our community. There are more challenges facing the Central Valley than there were forty years ago. But the commitment to overcome our challenges has never been greater.

For those of you who were able to join us at our wonderful 40th Anniversary Dinner Event, you heard it said, “Most of us attending this celebration could easily move anywhere else in the country. But since we have all chosen to live in the Central Valley, let’s work together to make it the best it can possibly be.” We renew this invitation to all of you as we embark on the next 40 years.

I look forward to working with each of you as we seek to fulfill our mission, “to improve the quality of life in our Central San Joaquin Valley through philanthropy.”
