Sandra R. Flores joined the staff in March 2007. She is a Fresno native and comes from a very large, traditional Mexican family. Furthermore, she is a graduate of Fresno High School, (School of Champions) where she met her husband Peter Flores her sophomore year. Sandra and her husband Peter have three grown children—Evan, Mercy and PJ. Evan married Ashley Sharp and Mercy married Carlos Hernandez in 2006. Recently, the Flores family welcomed their first grandson, Alejandro.

Sandra’s undergraduate degree is in History from the University of Oklahoma City where she and her family lived for 8 years while her husband served on staff at Faith Tabernacle. Her time away from California only increased her love and appreciation for the Valley’s natural beauty and its unique, diverse community. She and her husband served on pastoral staff for a total 15-years and gained valuable leadership experience. She came to the Fresno Regional Foundation from United Way of Fresno County where she worked with the nonprofit community for three years. She is a volunteer for CASA as a court appointed advocate, she also serves on the American Humanics Advisory Committee for CSU Fresno, and is on the Financial Education Advisory Committee, Chaired by FDIC, San Francisco Region. Sandra looks for opportunities to enhance and contribute to our community with her time, talents and resources. She especially has a heart for educating, informing and engaging the Latino community to be advocates of change.
