Information Sessions: Arts Grants Available Through The James Irvine Foundation

We are pleased to inform you that The James Irvine Foundation's Exploring Engagement Fund for Priority Regions has grants available to support nonprofit organizations as they investigate new ways to engage Californians in the arts via the three pathways outlined in their strategy, which has the goal of promoting engagement in the arts for all Californians. Offered in tandem with their other Exploring Engagement opportunities for arts organizations statewide and for large budget arts organizations, Exploring Engagement Fund for Priority Regions is specifically intended for arts organizations in the San Joaquin Valley and the Inland Empire.

Please see their website for a complete description of Exploring Engagement Fund for Priority Regions: their goals for the Fund, the criteria for selection, and relevant deadlines.

In addition to reviewing the application information online, eligible organizations are encouraged to attend an Information Session. Irvine Foundation program staff will lead presentations about the Exploring Engagement Fund for Priority Regions on the following dates and times:

The deadline to register for either session has been extended to Monday, April 9, 2012 at 5 p.m.

You may register for the Information Session that is most appropriate for your schedule. Advance registration is required.

These meetings are designed as a way for you to be able to ask questions about the fund and the arts strategy. While The James Irvine Foundation will not be able to give individual feedback on proposal ideas, the gatherings will be helpful as you develop project plans.
